Ex-PGS student, Lewis McDowell is Undergraduate of the Year winner!

Lewis McDowell - Lloreal Undergraduate of the Year

Ex-PGS student, Lewis McDowell has been presented the prestigious Male Undergraduate Award.  Lewis was not only presented with a very stylish trophy, but to top it off he has been granted a 12 month placement at L'Oreal's Head Office, one week of which will be at their fabulous Paris Office.

Going back to Lewis' Pudsey Grangefield School days, it was clear he was going to achieve great things and have the determination to come out on top.  Lewis was one of three winners who were chosen to travel to Abingdon to the RM Headquarters to create and design the new 21st Century Learning Partnership Trust logo, which is still used by the school.

Lewis' natural business creativity was already starting to flourish at PGS as he ran his own t-shirt print company.  Lewis was always first in line to take part in the Business Department Enterprise initiatives, including helping to run a Pudsey market stall.

The Performing Arts Department was a favourite hang out for Lewis and drama was a real passion of his.  Lewis' lead performances in We Will Rock You and his performance as Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat were truly outstanding.

A bright future lays ahead of Lewis and we look forward to hearing more of his successes.

Well done Lewis, all at Pudsey Grangefield School are very proud of your achievement!

Pudsey Grangefield School Badge Transparent - Small

A Level results day: Thursday 15th August

We would like to congratulate all of our Year 13 students on their results. It has been a privilege to teach them over the past seven years and we wish them all the best for the future.

We do not normally single out individual students but we are going to make an exception this year as the following student encapsulates the values of the school and the quality of the education that our Sixth Form students receive. This student also demonstrates why we are the only school-based Sixth Form in the whole west area of Leeds that is rated as good by Ofsted.

Cameron Lee achieved A* grades in his A level maths, further maths and physics. In addition to this Cameron also achieved A grades in chemistry and Spanish. As a result Cameron has been accepted to study mathematics at Oxford University from September. Cameron has demonstrated our values of respect, resilience, integrity, compassion and ambition throughout his seven years at Pudsey Grangefield School and we are sure he has a bright future ahead of him.

The photo below shows Cameron on results day with Mr Williams (our Director of Studies for Year 13).
