Careers guidance & HE

This is an integral part of the support offered to our students.

There is an expectation that students will aim high and we do all we can to support those aspirations, through dedicated personalised support and excellent careers and higher education advice. Students are supported all the way through the UCAS applications process and are helped to ensure their personal statements really show what they have to offer.

All students will have a careers interview to help them decide on their next steps. We also have whole year group activities that enable our students to prepare for Post 18, whether that is further study or the world of employment. A programme of support is delivered by form tutors, who help students prepare for their next steps at the most appropriate time over the two years.

We are very proud of the fact that, despite the current economic climate, 100% students secured places the University of their Choice in both 2014 and 2015.

We also offer personalised advice to individuals applying for competitive courses such as medicine and have excellent staff who support with Oxbridge applications and offers interview practice.
