Improvement priorities

The Governing Body completed a review of governance in May 2016 facilitated by the Governor Support Service.  The areas of improvement identified in our Governor Action Plan are:

 

  • Improving the progress and achievement of students

  • Improving the quality of teaching and learning

  • Embedding the changes to the behaviour and rewards system

  • To strengthen strategies to engage with our stakeholders, especially parents

  • To continue to update training, especially RAISEonline

  • To ensure that every governor is aware of their specific role on the Governing Body, that all visits to school are recorded and that reports are given at relevant Governing Body meetings
